Jo Malone x Huntsman

Another day has passed, another Jo Malone news! Coming October, two coveted British brand – Jo Malone London and Huntsman Savile Row will be teaming up to deliver a four-piece cologne collection, the perfect final touch for any suited occasion.

If you have yet heard of, Huntsman Savile Row is a high-end fashion house and tailor which is located at No.11 Savile Row, London. The house is well known for their English bespoke menswear tailoring, pret-a-porter and leather accessories.

For this collection, both houses collaborated to deliver four limited collection piece which consist of previous releases such as Whisky & Cedarwood, Amber & Patchouli, Assam & Grapefruit and Birch & Black Pepper.

“A Huntsman suit makes you walk a bit taller, stand a little straighter, while a Jo Malone London Cologne is an extension of your personality and the perfect finishing touch.”

While some commented the lack of creativity by recycling prior releases, that ain’t the case for me! You see, Jo Malone London has been lacking in terms of “manly” scent and I can name all of them which are present in the main collection (almost 70% appeals more to women than men mind you).

Out of the four, which one appeals to you the most?

Whisky & Cedarwood
An enigmatic blend of fine whisky and opulent roses edged with spicy pimento, warm cedarwood and an intriguing accord of waxy wooden floors.

Amber & Patchouli
The opulence of amber. An exotic union of this legendary ingredient and sensuous patchouli, with its supple, suede-like finish. Seductive.

Assam & Grapefruit
An invigorating cologne that captures the lively, full bodied aroma of that first cup of tea in the morning. A blast of grapefruit at the top followed by perfumed interpretation of black tea – Assam, infused with the spiciness of cardamom, nuttiness of almond and the warmth of patchouli.

Birch & Black Pepper
A contrasting scent. Black pepper and cardamom add a cool spiciness, layered with smoky birch. An accord of magnetic ink juxtaposed with the smooth warm of gurjum. Individual, audacious, stylish.
