Introducing Jo Malone: Rose and White Musk Absolu

Seems like my Monday ain’t that blue after all! According to Neiman Marcus, Jo Malone London is about to release an all new Absolute range by early next month and the first from the range will be called Rose and White Musk Absolu. Pumped? Let’s have a look at its pyramid construction:

Heart Note

·         Rose Damascena Absolute

·         Rose Damascena Essence

·         Rose Damascena Water

Base Note

·         White Musk

·         Amber

·         Oud

The bottle is capped in glossy maroon, matching its body that has a maroon-orange gradient, portraying the end of the day when the sun sets on the horizon (kind of reminds me of My Wanderlust collection). Evidently, the bottle design seems to suggest the fragrance to be worn mostly in the evenings rather than broad daylight (didn’t stop me from spritzing Tuberose Angelica early in the morning :P).

According to one of the user from Taiwan reddit-like forum PTT, the idea of introducing an Absolute line was conceptualized since last year and the news of its release were trickled out during January. The user described the scent as concentrated and it is more likely to appeal to the Middle Eastern market than the west or Asia (somehow reminds me of my first impression towards the Intense line).

Jo Malone’s Rose and White Musk Absolu is expected to arrive in early June. To those of you who adores the usage of rose in fragrances but dislike the green skewed Red Roses, then this may be the perfect one for you!
