Tom Ford establishing its presence in Kuala Lumpur!

Seems like the news is out! Tom Ford – one the world’s most coveted fashion house will establish their presence in Malaysia this June! TF is expected to bring in their immaculate beauty line such as lipsticks and fragrances which garnered worldwide attention for their controversial marketing strategies.

The fashion house helmed by Tom Ford was established in 2006 following his departure as creative direction at Yves Saint Laurent. In perfumery, TF introduced M7 during his tenure in YSL – one of the first mainstream brand to popularize oud (agarwood) as a core ingredient in perfumery. Following the success, TF himself sets apart with his own fashion house by introducing the highly regarded Private Blend Collection in 2007.

Private Blend Collection is deemed as “my own personal scent laboratory” by Tom Ford. The collection enables him to create niche and original fragrances that are unbound by the conventions of mainstream perfumery. Indeed, TF has shaken up the perfumery industry with their daring composition and controversial marketing strategies with one recent example – F*cking Fabulous.

With that being said, I am more than excited upon receiving the news of TF entering into the Malaysian market. I guess Estee Lauder does not want to be left behind after YSL Beauty re-enters into the market following previous abrupt exit more than 10 years ago (I guess?). I can almost bet that there is going to be a long queue during their official opening date on 1^st June 2018 @ Suria KLCC.

Hopefully, Estee Lauder and TF will bring in most if not, the entire line of Private Blend into the market. Can’t wait to take a few whiffs off Neroli Portofino and Oud Minerale. While we anticipate for its grand opening, which fragrance would you be most excited to take a few sniffs 😉?
